Amazon offers two selling plans. The first is the Individual plan, which is more suitable for small sellers, whose range of goods is not so big; the second one is the Professional plan, which is designed for experienced sellers with a significant volume of sales.
If you plan to sell more than 40 product units, then the Professional plan will be more profitable for you. The thing is that using the Individual plan, you will pay $0.99 for each item sold (not to mention the Amazon fee). The Professional plan will cost you $39.99 per month (but the fee of $0.99 for each sold item is absent). Besides payments, one of the differences that you should pay attention to before choosing the Individual selling plan is the inability to list your product in certain categories (Grocery, Health & Personal Care, Clothing, Shoes and others).
The first month of the Professional plan is free. Debiting begins from the second month.
Therefore, if you are dead set on this, we recommend using the Professional selling plan. The first month of use is completely free. Remember that if you selected the Individual plan when creating a seller’s account, but later you want to switch to the Professional one, Amazon will not provide you with a free month. So choose wisely at the very beginning. The account of a professional seller has a number of significant advantages:
- Savings in case of large volume of sales
- You will be able to do business using the BuyBox model
- You will be able to sell your products in limited categories
- Fast delivery for premium buyers
IMPORTANT!
Earlier, in the article “What are the benefits of a Payonner card and how to get it,” we told you that you can withdraw money from Amazon using a Payonner card. If you use this payment system and have chosen the Professional selling plan, you should take into account that you will not be able to pay a monthly fee using this card. It is due to the fact, that Payonner issues prepaid cards, and Amazon cannot withdraw money from them. Therefore, if your there is not enough money on your account to pay for services (a professional account), you need to link a personal payment card to your account. We do not recommend transferring all funds from sales to your Payonner card at once, leaving some money in your personal Amazon account to pay for a selling plan. Remember that if you have a debt to Amazon, it will limit your access to the seller’s account, which can cut down your sales.
